2008

Revive the professional community

A renewed effort to revive the professional community was initiated by computer engineers from diverse organizations. Led by Engr. Erwin G. Mendoza and Engr. Alexander B. Ybasco, the group built upon the foundation laid by PhICEs.

Following a series of strategic meetings, the organization was rebranded as the Institute of Computer Engineers of the Philippines, Inc. (ICpEP).

1992

Established the Philippine Institute of Computer Engineers, Inc. (PhICEs)

The organization successfully attracted a number of professional members and actively organized conventions, seminars, and symposia across various regions in Luzon and Visayas. Despite its initial momentum, PhICEs eventually became inactive after several years of operation.

Engr. Lenelio O. Morga, PCpE Founding President

“This begun with a dream of empowering Filipino Computer Engineers and IT Professionals here in Qatar- not only to belong but to lead, to innovate, and to inspire.

As the Founding President of ICPEP – Qatar – and in my continuing roles as Executive Vice President of ICPEP-GCC and member of the National Board of Governors in the Philippines – I have witnessed first hand the dedication of individuals who believed in this cause.
