DOHA, QATAR – ICpEP Qatar-Chapter Strengthens Collaboration with MRSP to Support Filipino Engineers in Robotics and Mechatronics
The Institute of Computer Engineers of the Philippines (ICpEP) Qatar Chapter, led by its Founding President Engr. Lene, together with Vice President for Education Engr. Reymond, successfully conducted a productive online meeting via Zoom with the Mechatronics and Robotics Society of the Philippines (MRSP).
The MRSP was represented by Dr. Arvin Dela Cruz, National President, and Engr. Maria Rodelyn Tibon, National Secretary. The 90-minute virtual session centered on strengthening collaboration between the two organizations to support Filipino engineers and scientists practicing robotics and mechatronics in Qatar.
During the meeting, both organizations discussed several key initiatives, including:

Providing training programs, certification opportunities, and accreditation pathways for Filipino professionals in the robotics and mechatronics field.

Exploring the formation of a new MRSP International Chapter in Qatar, in partnership with various Filipino engineering organizations based in the country.

Establishing a sustainable network of technical experts and practitioners aligned with ICpEP Qatar’s mission and vision of promoting professional growth, innovation, and collaboration among Filipino engineers abroad.
The session featured an engaging exchange of ideas and an open Q&A, marking a promising beginning of deeper partnerships between ICpEP Qatar-Chapter and MRSP. Both organizations expressed their enthusiasm to continue the dialogue and formalize future initiatives that will advance robotics and mechatronics education and practice within the Filipino community in Qatar.
